EIU Homecoming!!!

Playing a little beer pong to kick off the festivities!! I was on Brandons team cause he's awesome and I'm really bad so it evens out!! ha

After this the pictures are all about the same... pretty much face shots of me and tiffany and amber and thats about it! So overall Homecoming was a blast had Jimmy Johns about 1:30 in the morning then came home and went to sleep!! :) Very successful homecoming 08!

What is going on?

So today I got outta my second class really early and I had an hour to kill before my next one! So I decided to come home and hang out on the couch for awhile. I'm watching tv, about ready to fall asleep when all of a sudden some freakin alarm starts going off in Charleston!!! Scared the shit outta me, I didn't know if it was real or not because it is crappy out today, so I call Josh and I'm like what is going on and he reminds me that the first tuesday of every month they test the sirens... I then remember reading this in an email from EIU and was calmed down. But it went on for probably ten freakin minutes and it was SO loud! At least i know if there is ever a tornado I won't sleep through those sirens! ha And now it is pouring down rain and I have to walk back to class.... sucky!

Seriously!!!!

okay so you really can't make sense of this because it's all blurry didn't really work out the way I wanted it to. Just listen... I have a Cognitive Psychology class... I was really excited about it until I actually got into the class because my teacher cannot teach.... this is what his notes were for the day... this is exactly what the chalk board looked like! If you could read everything you would see the array of numbers scattered everywhere and just random words placed in different spots oh and the wonderful pictures he draws.... I wish you could read everything because you would laugh your ass off!! But it gets better... not only are his note giving abilities absolutely HORRIBLE... we don't ever hardly talk about anything that has to do with the class... Today the majority of the topics were about how he wanted to show us a video and he tried on the computer in the classroom but it just wouldn't work and so he called the Campus computer people and they told him it was because that computer doesn't have that sortware anymore and he was amazed... and so he brought in a laptop into the room and it worked and that amazed him.... this story went on for twenty minutes!!! Now I'm thinking at the end of this story we are going to watch a movie... NOPE! he just wanted to tell us that the laptop worked and the computer didn't! SHOOT ME! And then if you can see in my drawing... bottom right hand corner... its supposed to be a car with a person standing behind it... thats supposed to be the head peeking over the car... Well this little drawing by my professor got himself into a half hour long story about how he used to live in new york and he was in his apartment making tomatoe soup and the bomb squad came over the loud speaker and told everyone to evacuate the building and he grabbed his cat and forgot about the tomatoe soup.... (that part was irrelevant!) but they were evacuating because they had found a head to a drug dealer in the dumpster and he lived in that apartment building... that's how the car picture comes in play cause he thought it was funny that maybe in new york you'd just find a head on top of a car.

So yeah.... nice class! I have a test tuesday wonder whats going to be on it! Psychology... or the name of the drug dealer from New York! Really he's driving me nuts! Thank god it's only one semester!

CREEPER!

So I'm really glad I don't have night classes! The Vice President of EIU sends out notifications on issues to all students via your Eastern email.... in the past month I have received TWO emails referring to sexual assaults! Both occured on 4th street... right by campus. The first one occured at 7:30 at night and the most recent occured at 6:00!!! The most recent email had a description of the man that they still haven't caught. His description was givin in the email and it is saying he is in his late 50s... creepy! Once again I'm glad I don't have night class...plus I'm going to be extra careful just walking to my car from my apartment! Don't freak out mom... I don't go anywhere alone Promise! But anyways just keeping everyone updated with the things I deal with here... Yep... well gotta study!!

What a night!

Okay so... this past Saturday I ventured to Effingham from Charleston for my Grandmas Bday. To start the night off I was late... imagine that! Then not paying attention and the sun in my eyes I veered to Indy instead of st. louis on the interstate.... yeah I'm cool! :) From Effingham I was planning on heading to Newton for the night but at the last minute decided to go back to Charleston and hit up a party with my roomates and some of my sisters.

Great plan... get back to Charleston around 9:30 or so... find out where the party is and head there... we decided to drive! Living in the small town that I do... I'm used to parking wherever the hell I want to. So we get to these apartment buildings park in the lot no big deal... hang out there for awhile then decide to walk down the street to a friends house. Shoulda drove!

Come back about an hour later... and you guessed it, my car is gone! Oh and let me just say ALL of our keys to our apartment were in my car... So we can't even just got home. We then walk back to our friends house, I'm extremely mad, and call the police to find out who has towed my car. They proceed to tell me that it hasn't been towed. WOW really.... At this point I about called Mom and Tim but right before that my phone rings it's the police and they have found my car at Priceless Towing... cute name considering it costs me $100 to get it back!

So I've learned my lesson... a very expensive one... but I have! Don't park anywhere! :)

My first few weeks at school...

Okay... So I've finally finished putting together my room up at school. I think! We've got the perfect little apartment and I'm living with two girls from highschool. So far its been a blast.

Mom and Tim came up the other day and the first thing Tim did was get in my fridge and drink my beer... haha. But it's okay cause he gave me ten dollars for two beers! Mom has come up alot since I've been here bringing me little things I forget and helping me with the apartment... or maybe just cause she misses me! :) And she has also been introduced to Guitar Hero! She was actually pretty good and we had the Aerosmith version so she was excited! And Tim has been helping me ALOT with my Political Science class... thank god.

I recently joined the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and I'm loving it! The white dress I'm wearing in the first picture I had to wear for our first initiation type thing and I found out I had to wear all white 2 days before so of course me and mom took a fast trip shopping!!! Thank god we found one at the very last place we went and for only $20. The second picture the whole sorority and the third is just a picture or my pledge class for 2008! And the last picture is me and my big sister Jessie!
